As we enter 2017 and look back on 2016 vis-à-vis heinous crime took place in Punjab during the last year data tells us that on an average 10 persons were murdered daily in the province.
The province’s crime chart shows that murder was the second heinous crime in terms of volume which was followed by robberies. As many as 11,620 incidents of robbery were reported from across Punjab in 2016 while 3,601 people were murdered in the province during the last year.
