According to different media reports (Express Tribune and Dunya News) 15 to 17 people were killed and over 100 injured on Nov 17, 2015 when a passenger train derailed in Bolan district of Pakistan’s Balochistan province. While latest confirmed stats on derailment of trains in Pakistan are not available take a quick look on data about train related accidents in Pakistan from Year Book (2013-2014) of Pakistan Railways.
A total of nine incidents of derailment of passenger trains were reported in 2012 which increased to 13 during the next year.
Separately a total of 127 terrorism related train incidents have taken place in Pakistan from the year 2000 to 2015 in which 88 people lost their lives.
