The first-ever global survey “The State of Technology in Global Newsrooms” by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) has found that data journalism is the most sought-after training.
“Data journalism is the most sought-after training, with over half of journalists wanting it,” the survey has found.
According to the survey 52 percent of the respondents said they want data journalism training while only 40 percent of newsrooms offer it globally.
It also found that 33 percent of newsrooms worldwide use data visualization/production of infographics.
“The most advanced skills, such as data journalism, live video, and cybersecurity were used by less than one-third of newsrooms,” read the findings.
