As many as 53 journalists including one from the United States (Daniel Pearl) and one from Afghanistan (Anwar Saleh) have been killed in different terrorism related incidents and target killings in Pakistan since 1994.
According to Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) 1148 journalists have been killed across the world since 1992.

There should be safety measures besides more professional training of the journalists especially war and conflict reporting safety tools should be taken care of in my opinion.
You are right, Shabbir. Unfortunately there are fewer training opportunities available for journalists locally. This and many other aspects should also be part of curriculum being offered at out universities and colleges for journalism related programs.
